Special news

March 11, 2022

Dear Riddle Staff and Families,

We have another important update.

The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) announced lifting mask requirements for indoor public spaces and Oregon’s schools at the end of the day on March 11.

Current modeling from Oregon Health and Sciences University (OHSU) shows COVID cases continue to decrease.

We will continue to prioritize the health and safety of our students, staff and community. OHA continues to recommend the use of masks for individuals at risk of health complications or who live with someone in a high-risk group even after restrictions are lifted. There will be students and staff who choose to continue wearing masks. Our district will support these decisions.

Beginning March 14 wearing masks in our district will be optional while at school.

State officials are working to provide schools with additional safety protocol measures.

We are grateful for our dedicated staff and incredible students. Thank you for your ongoing support. We will continue to keep you informed.

Sincerely,

Dave Gianotti

Riddle School District Superintendent
