Riddle School District

Dear Riddle Elementary Families, Riddle Elementary School will be closed Wednesday, September 9, and Thursday, September 10, due to continued bat activity in the building. Out of an abundance of caution, the district is taking this time to thoroughly inspect the building and complete the necessary cleaning and bat-removal measures. We are working to make the best possible decisions based on the information and professional guidance available to us. Throughout this process, the district is working closely with the Douglas Public Health Network, the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW), and a professional bat specialist. The safety of our students and staff remains our highest priority. We will provide families with an update Thursday afternoon regarding the progress made and the next steps for reopening the school.
